I emailed Pac-Lab awhile back and they will process Foma DS8 at the 16mm rate but he didn't think they could split it.

Grand! I wasn't sure how hard it would be to manage 100 ft. I've only done 50ft 8mm and it seemed like it would be cumbersome to do more than that.

Man, I'm stupid. I don't know why it never occurred to me to ask someone to just process it as 16mm. I can get one of those Russian slitter for around $11 or so and join them on a 400 ft reel.

Well, the bad news is that I just e-mailed John Schwind. He's out of Fomapan R100 and he's not getting more until October. Dang.

Well, I guess that leaves me with a few options. The first is to put off the project until October, which isn't that bad of an idea. I can try and find someone who actually has at least 15 rolls of Kodachrome 25 at a reasonable cost and just keep them in a cooler. Or I can try and get more money and shoot 16mm with my Scoopic. The final option is just breaking down and buying a solid MV or DV camera for the project. I have no experience shooting DV though. I can't imagine it's the same as shooting with my Canon DS-8. Not sure if I have the time to spend fooling around with a new camera let alone a new format.

    Thanks for your help!
